From cash he taping went fine and Prof. Johnson was very impressive. Also appearing on the program was Prof. Irv Joyner, and former federal prosecutor Kieran Shanahan. We did two segments and covered a lot of ground. Prof.Johnson's book was also highlighted. When we finished, Prof. Johnson said he was very pleased with the show (so was our staff and crew). I promised to send a DVD of the program to him after it airs on Sunday. You can watch the show online after Sunday: http://www.nbc17.com/midatlantic/ncn/At_Issue.htmlLet the healing begin. C Available now.

That was quite interesting, Joyner seemed rather "woolly" but the others, including Cash, Had some interesting things to say. The NC grand jury system sounds like some sort of secret rite however!!

Let the healing begin. The healing won't start until the fight is over. If you want to reach that end more quickly you should press to get the NAACP and Gang of 88 to correct and apologize, CGM to recant and Mike Nifong to resign.

This was truly an eye-opener for me regarding Cash. What a different person he is on camera . . . intelligent, thoughtful and even circumspect. Not the insufferable, predisposed, agitator I find him to be on the boards.
Cash, you lost the best opportunity you will ever have to make your name known around the world . . . you could have been the voice that blew Nifong's case apart . . . you could have been the hero of this hoax. With your access to people, you could have uncovered this travesty and been on every talkshow on the planet . . . much like the woman who blew the whistle on the Enron debacle. I'm serious . . . you could have been on the cover of Time Magazine if you would not have had your racial blinders on, and instead, REALLY WENT AFTER THE TRUTH. You apparently thought "something must have happened" and devoted your energies to only those issues that might put the players in a negative light. Imagine if you had put your formidable skills to work to uncover the police-DA conspiracy to railroad three innocent players. As I said, you'll never know how great you could have been if you had not been so blinded by the "racial aspects" of this case. You said you were writing for the Black community . . . well, I hope they like you because you will forever be just a writer for the Black community. After having seen you . . . you could have been so much more.

Until all the groups that helped enable and push this false prosecution have actually been held accountable and learned something from their prejudice rush to judgement it is all just lip service. I am tired of everyone blaming Nifong for their part in this fiasco. It is groups and people like the gang of 88, NC NAACP, Irving Joyner, Cash, the pot bangers, Durham's City Governent, a large segment of the black community and Trinity Park residents who gave Nifong the courage to go forward. However, Nifong is their escape goat.

Yes - I've seen him on tv before. The question is who's the real Cash and who's wearing the mask. Personally I think the relative anonymity and a smaller audience allow the true person to "come out" on these types of forums.

After having read many of Cash's posts, and had a few encounters with him I was very surprised that he came across as a reasonably rational grown up and gave a better performance than I expected.

Cash can fit in quite well at a Nifong-bashing party. That's probably why his appearance didn't bother you. The menu for the day was "Was Nifong only trying to win the election, or is he also incompetent?" Those were the two choices. I can't recall whether there people from "both sides" there to tussle over which answer is the correct one.

Peebs Honey, given that even Nifong has apologized and said that Cooper was right, there really are not many other options.

At least there's a bill in the NC legislature to remove the hoods and the blood sacrifices from GJ proceedings.

You're not a serious person, darling. Everyone deserves a defense... The people who only defend the truly innocent probably don't understand that. It's a modern cultural tradition. It might be a reprehensible concept, but more than a few lawyers make a good living off it.

Sarah didn't say that everyone doesn't deserve a defense. You are seriously hallucinating.
