I don't see why they would matter in a criminal case. They aren't laws. Maybe they might matter in a civil case of some kind. IMO & IANAL. I think the only reason some people care about the HOA rules is because of the possibility of a civil suit against them by Crump and Co. It might be interesting to hear from some of the lawyers here if Crump might have a case against the HOA or Sanford, but that might go beyond the purpose of this site.
