O'Mara said that FDLE has a map showing 'where Trayvon's cell phone was that day,' and he has known about it since 1/9.

Is this news, or something I missed?

I thought there was uncertainty about whether the 2/26/12 data was missing from the phone or just from the discovery. It seems it is the latter.

I think MOM was talking about 'ping logs'. I believe he got those although not the map created from them. Which, I suspect, wouldn't be very revealing. Those records don't have the detail that GPS logs would have. At some point the cell phone's internal data was accessed and GPS logs were found. The data from that analysis was given to MOM, including GPS data, sans data from 2/26.

An interesting YouTube video of a press conference by O'Mara following the hearing.

(Looks like were getting close the the point where Larry, Curly, and Moe will be a proper matter for discussion.)
Nobody asked him about GPS information taken from Zimmerman's phone.  That could be just as important as the same from Martin's phone.

As far as I know the state never had access to Zimmerman's phone, since he was never arrested. There was  a reference to information they got by subpoena from the phone company, but that was after 2/26. The only chance of getting the GPS data is in the defense downloaded the phone and entered it into evidence.

Does anyone know what kind of phone Zimmerman had?

It was a Blackberry.  The state examined it.  Some information is here in the comments.  It could be that lack of having an expert to consult has stymied O'Mara in this question also.  Somebody should ask him.

When Zimmerman testified at the first bond hearing, he was asked about information on his cell phone. Has everyone forgotten the mysterious 'reverend'?

I assumed Zimmerman had some less-than-complimentary things to say about the less-than-reverend Al Sharpton.

The mystery is Sharpton or Jackson.

Could be Jackson. For some reason, at the time, I thought it was probably Sharpton. Whoever it was, I don't think it probably amounted to anything.

Zimmerman signed a consent to search his phone for texts, photos, etc on March 22. He brought them the phone and they downloaded the stuff on the spot.  It's in the discovery.

You can't get text messages, photos or content of emails with a subpoena, only with a search warrant or court order. By getting Zimmerman's written consent, they avoided having to get an order.

Zimmerman signed a consent to search his phone for texts, photos, etc on March 21. He brought them the phone and they downloaded the stuff on the spot.  It's in the discovery.

Does it say he brought it to them on 3/21? I thought it was logged into evidence as CFS-1 (11/184).

Zimmerman told Singleton that SPD officers took his phone (2-26-1, 6:23-28).

Thank you.

It says 'in my possession', so it seems the phone was returned to Zimmerman before that date.

It also describes the phone as a Blackberry.

Yes. His phone was given to him when he left the police station after the shooting.

They subponaed his phone records (call detail records, not content) early on.

Then they asked him to bring his phone in on March 22 so they could do the download. He again left with his phone that day. I think this is also the day they did the voice exemplar test on George.

There are FDLE reports explaining all this in the discovery.

Just found the March 22 report in the 9th Discovery FDLE documents: After talking about taking the voice exemplar, it says:

Quote
Zimmerman also voluntarily agreed to a data search of his personal cellular phone. Zimmerman signed consent to search for his blackberry phone and turned over his phone to SA John Batchelor. The data on the phone was downloaded for analysis. The phohe was ·returned to Zimmerman the same day. One (1) compact disc of the exemplar recording, a copy of the consent to search form and one CD of the phone data obtained from Zimmerman's phone will be maintained in the related items
of this report.
