B-35 said he can't read minds to know if there was racial motive, then says he doesn't think there was a racial motive.

Bernie asking about Hannity.

B-35 agrees H. has taken sides.

B-35 has heard about the NBC editing issue., and about controversy over age of Trayvon in photos. He 'doesn't really know' about the latter.

He thinks the protests are too much fuss over one case.

B-35 won't hold that against the state. He will look at facts.

Zimmerman is innocent if what he said happened is true, that GZ was screaming for help, TM grabbed for gun, attacked from behind.

B-35 didn't think Hannity was fair, because he had taken sides. It's all entertainment. Hannity won't influence his decision.

B-35 said all his friends are 'pro Mr. Martin'. He told them he was against taking sides, eventually stopped talking to them about it.

B-35 didn't talk to anyone about jury summons except his wife.

His wife has served on many juries, knew better than to try to influence him.

B-35 has negative view of people leading rallies.

He felt news favored TM, except FOX.

B-35 has seen defense lawyers on TV. He doesn't recall much of what they said.

Bernie asks if B-35 thought prosecutors should also have been commenting. 'Not really.'

B-35 has seen GZ on TV. The back of his head on police video.

He thought GZ got a pretty good beating. Somebody had to defend himself. It was a rough fight.

B-35 wears hoodies. TM must have been cold (some chuckles).

West is up.

B-35 is self-employed. He owns some houses and vending machines. Service no hardship, even if sequestered. His son is in his 20s, away at college.

West asked about B-35's wife. She wasn't down with the racial stuff. B-35 is always bringing up race.

People at his office talk about case, but not much.

He can count on one hand people he knows who haven't made there minds up.

B-35 has heard TM's father and mother. He would feel same if he lost a child.

He thinks 'civil rights leaders' did more than Crump to raise the racial aspect of the case.

B-35 vs. Bernardo.  Male.  Watches local news WESH.  Doesn't do newspapers.  FOXNews.  Hannity, morning news, some O'Reilly.  Conversation with immediate and extended family.  Prospect says he has not formed an opinion.

Zimmerman killed Martin, sort of a racial thing, he was out of bounds, tracking him down.  That's his impression from news reports.  Prospect didn't see it as racial, can't get in Zimmerman's head, maybe the two just met up and had an argument.  What do recall hearing on Fox 'n' Friends?  That the case ought to be heard in court.  He believes in innocent until proven guilty.  I wasn't there, and I didn't see the tussle go down.  Hannity is opinionated, Bernardo claims to watch Hannity too.  Prospect recalls pink-hat congress lady (Frederica Wilson), and says her remark that Martin was hunted down like a rabid dog was out of bounds.  He is aware of NBC's misleading edit.  He is aware that the photos of young Martin may be misleading, based on remarks from Hannity.  He was not with Jackson and Sharpton saber rattling on this case.  Did that sort of put you in the Zimmerman camp?  No, it made him upset because it was trying to make it a racial issue, when that wasn't known.

If it happened the way Zimmerman said, then he's not guilty.  If Martin went for the gun, if Zimmerman was screaming, if Zimmerman was on his way to his truck and Martin came from behind, them Zimmerman is not guilty.  Heard these scenarios from Hannity and O'Really.  Did the prospect form an opinion if Hannity was being fair?  He figures Hannity is taking one side for entertainment purposes.

I think this is a black male, but he's well spoken.  All his friends are pro-Martin.  His friends argue with him for having an open mind, so he doesn't talk to them about it.  (If I'm O'Mara I exclude this prospect just to protect his friendships).  He objects to the presumption of guilt.

He doesn't agree with Sharpton and Jackson over one case that seems to be racial, but not take action over 47 deaths a day.  he sees Sharpton and Jackson as self-serving.  Did no independent research, just conversations and news.  FoxNews seems to be a little less pro-Martin.  All the other news outlets (CNN named) are pro-Martin.  Do you regularly surf channels?  Yes.  About the same amount of time on CNN and FoxNews.  Bernardo inserts that he is more of a FoxNews sort of guy.  Do you recall seeing any lawyers talking about this case?  Some of the guys over there (points to defense).  It was a while ago, not much recollection of what they said.  Bernardo abandons the line of questioning and goes to whether the prospect thought the state should have been rebutting O'Mara.

He recalls the asking for money, bail, and so forth.  Claims to have not formed an opinion based on that.  Did see Zimmerman on teevee.  When he was arrested, showed the back of his head.  Walking to the jail.  Stills of his face.  What impressions did you form?  That he took a pretty good beating, it was a pretty rough fight on both sides.  Pictures of Martin?  Yes, with the hood on and as a younger boy.  What about hoodie?  No big deal, I wear one too.

West for the defense.  He offers water.  Man is self employed.  Vending machines.  No particular hardship if he serves on the jury.  One son, going on 21, a student in Tallahassee.  Has your wife commented?  She wasn't sure either, may have been the hunt down like the media said, but not racial.  He can count on one hand the people that haven't made their mind up yet.  West brings up Frederica Wilson - did you think her comments were inflammatory?  Yes.  Unnecessary to say he was being hunted - Zimmerman may have been watching, and when they met up it got violent.  He was watching teevee during some of the rallies.  He was invited, but chose not to go.  Prospect does tax preparation as well as vending machines.

Has seen Martin attorney on teevee, has seen Tracy and Sybrina on teevee speak too.  Do you think Martin family was trying to emphasize the racial aspect?  Not as much as the civil rights leaders did.  Anything Sybrina or Tracy did that would cause you to discount their testimony?  No.  Would you still be skeptical?  Yes.  West says you appear to be independent as far as making your own mind, could you carry that quality into the jury room?  Yes.  You are able to separate from your friends and family who think the incident was Zimmerman's fault? Yes.
