Juror R-39 is up. Bernie goes first. It's a male.

Wrote that he  doesn't really care about what happened and hasn't really formed an opinion.

He doesn't really watch the news unless something happens. Not on a daily basis. He saw coverage when the event happened.

watched a little bit of it. He has FB account, a lot of people comment. Also on Instagram (pictures.) Remembers the big rally. Mentions  hearing things on radio .

Saw pictures of the guy that was killed, Trayvon. Gray silhouette with hood on. He doesn't judge people by what they look like. Saw George's mugshot on FB. "It's just another picture to me."

Just realized a few days ago his summons might be for this case. Didn't go research it.
He doesn't really care about what happens to other people, he cares about himself.
He thought it was "tragic." Didn't get any specific information about evidence or  court proceedings.

Saw people's opinions on FB about it. He doesn't have an opinon about this case.

Murder is murder no matter what. Even if it's self-defense.

He thinks self-defense is murder. Pre-meditated murder is more of a murder, but self-defense is still murder.

(This guy may be toast.)

He hasn't studied the law. Bernie is trying to explain the court may explain it differently. Asking if he can put his opinion of the law aside.  Bernie uses the death penalty as an example.

Juror says he's biased and may not be able to set  his opinions aside.

It's a one way story in his mind. Dead men don't tell tales.

When it's O'Mara's turn, he asks to approach.

Juror 39 is excused. Court in recess for 10 minutes.

Female is up next. Bernie questioning. She mentions the racial issue. Asked about that, she says she doesn't think it's a racial issue. She watches Good Morning America. She sounds young. She's on Facebook. She hasn't run into commentary about the case there. Hasn't paid attention to the case in the last six months.

She hasn't discussed case with her husband.

She does recall friends talking about it. They just wondered what was going happen. Says no one discussed their opinion. Hasn't kept up with commentary -- she may have seen some on GMA but she doesn't remember it.  She remembers seeing Mark O'Mara but just that he was going to represent GZ.

Hasn't googled GZ. She remembers in the beginning GZ was trying to raise money. She went to website. It was early in the case. She just remembers that it said he needed support. She thinks it was a personal message from GZ, but she doesn't remember if it was a video or written.

Thinks it was in English. She had no impressions, other than it was unique.

(Is she Hispanic, why would Bernie assume she would understand it in either language?)

She has not formed an opinion.

Bernie says judge hasn't decided on sequestration.

Also watches CNN. Remembers something about trying to finds bad things about Trayvon Martin. Has no opinion of that, people just trying to do their jobs. She remembers they were trying to pull things out that happened before the case.  Thinks it was something about marijuana. She didn't form an opinion, it's just the media. She thinks the media is sometimes biased. The bias goes both ways.

Her only opinion was that it was not a racial issue. She still thinks that. It's about whether something was done that is right or wrong. Race has nothing to do with it. Either Trayvon's race or Zimmerman's race. She remembers a reverand or pastor on one of the morning shows. She thought if she was a prominent person, she doesn't think she would have put her name on the line and gone public with a public claim it was a racial issue when all the facts are not known.

She doesn't think she would have protested but everyone has the right to protest.

She understands that decisions have to be made on evidence at trial, not what jurors heard before.

No prior jury service.

She works for a company that is fair.

She has no time conflicts or work conflicts.

She didn't think protests are a bad thing. Mentions that family were at the protest.

Bernie's done, O'Mara's questioning now.

GMA (ABC) and CNN is what she usually watches. Watches Fox sometimes.
She's aware they have a certain perspective, it's why she watches Fox.
(Translation: She agrees with Fox's perspective.)
She's not seen much more than highlights.
She doesn't remember anything specific about what O'Mara said other than he was representing GZ.
