Has not formed an opinion about case.
gets news from internet, doesn't find TV news credible
CNN, MSNBC are internet news sites he follows
He believes media is slanted
He can make his decision based on what comes in court

Prior discussions about case: Had some with family and friends. Only opinion he had was how long the media was going to concentrate on this case
Any work discussions: He's a manager and his policy is if it's not work related it doesn't belong in work place
What he recalls about the case: He remembers jail calls media said were coded.
He heard about Skittles and the Skittles company wanted to capitalize on it. He thought it was shameless consumerism

He knows he was wearing a hoodie and it was raining that night.
Recalls GZ turned himself in, went down for questioning.

Did not see any photographs.
Only recording he's aware of is one he heard on radio. They put audio music to it to make it comical. (Of jail calls)
Recalls hearing snippets of 911 call. (of 911 operator and GZ, "We're on our way, We're on our way."
Lives in Lake Mary, aware of protesting, didn't attend or pay much mind
Protesting is a right, he mostly was affected by traffic jams.

Nothing else about case stands out in his mind.
What would he tell friends who ask and don't  know about case ? He'd tell them there was a shooting and refer them to media sites.
Sequestration: it would not be ideal but it is far from insurmountable.

O'Mara's up.

I-44 and BDLR:

I-44 is a male. Not formed opinion. Doesn't give credibility to news stories. Watched CNN and MSNBC. Media has slant. Can disregard out-of-court information.

Had some discussions about case. Only opinion was media avalanche "once again." Manager for retail store. If it's not work-related it doesn't belong in workplace. Found Skittle company story "very irrelevant." Thought company was trying to capitalize. "Shameless consumerism."

Recalls hoodie and raining that night. Recalls that Zimmerman turned himself in and went down for questioning. Would disregard if something happened was wasn't presented at trial as irrelevant.

Radio slowed down 911 recording and added a music bed to make it comical. Just listens to laugh.

Recalls Zimmerman's 911 call to police. Recalls banter between operator. Recalls dispatcher saying "We're on our way, we're on our way."

Recalls radio jokes about jail recordings.

Lives in Lake Mary and recalls traffic issues with protests. Free country/free speech. Would not hold that against either side.

Would tell friend there was a shooing. There will be a hearing and we'll find out what happened. Would point them to one of many media outlets - take your pick, "it's a needle in a haystack."

Rainy night, hoodie...

Sequestration not ideal, but not insurmountable.

He's a father of three and in his opinion the news is all negative. His family is a blended one and he doesn't want negativity in the home.  Kids are 12, 10 and an infant under 1.

He first heard of the case on one of his favorite TV shows, when a "Breaking News" chiron flashed, and it was on every channel. One network put up a computer animation of what happened. They showed images of a rainy night, the 911 operator, GZ on the phone, streets. He wasn't very taken by the case "as most other of my peers."

He didn't finish watching the animation, but he recalls it GZ coming from behind and approaching. It said "this is what we think happened." He didn't lend any credibility to it.

He's a sports nut. Mentions friends who are consumed by this. He doesn't have time for that ilk.

I-44 and MOM:

Father of 3, blended family. Media is constantly negative. 10,12 and under 1.  Doesn't want family barraged with meaningless negativity.

Fist heard about case from breaking news. Was on every channel. Thought the local media would go nuts. Recalls CNN used a computer animated reenactment. Showed images of rainy night, 911 operator, Zimmerman on phone, streets... Wasn't very taken by the case like many of his peers. Didn't finish watching animation. Showed Zimmerman approaching from behind. "Their credibility in my mind is next-to-nothing." MOM continues to call animation cartoon to plant seed with potential juror.

Talks about people becoming fascinated with cases such as OJ. Say's it's useless waste. Football fan. Six of his friends go one way, have-a-dozen go the other. Recalls social and political pressure on this case. Thinks those pressures are their pre-conceived notion. MOM handles firmly but gently. As a father he teaches children to do what you believe. "No one else matters."

Sidebar. I think MOM likes this guy.

Doesn't put as much stock in media-hyped cases as friends. If he lost a friend over his serving as a juror, so be it.

"Everyone has an opinion and they all stink."

As a father he's always taught his children to what they believe in and no one else matters. He'll bring that philosophy to the jury.

O'Mara says No further questions.  Sidebar.

Judge forgot to turn off her microphone. She asks for cause challenges. O'Mara has none. Says something about approaching or reaching 40 and what she'd like to do. Mike shuts off.

Questions Zimmerman about informed consent regarding jury selection. Does have 40.

Judge asks Zimmerman whether he had opportunity to talk to attys about choices and he agrees. He says yes.

B 12, 29, 76, 7, 35, 37, 51, 86,
E6, 40,
P 67
Couldn't write fast enough, the media will have list

She's going to dismiss 3 jurors sitting in back not yet called.

O'Mara says he accepts list but notes he objected to some of them. So not all his objections were granted.
