O'Mara up.

Talking about his first case, in courtroom without AC.

Room is too cold, people trying to get that fixed.

B-29 talking about her decision to move from Chicago to Florida. It was the hardest thing she had to do, leaving behind most of her family, she just has husband and kids with her.

ETA: B-29 says she is willing to give her decision in this case the same degree of care.

B-61 doesn't think a criminal trial is a unique experience.

B-76 thinks it's a great opportunity.

O'Mara thinks it's a 'very unique experience' for lay people. He is concerned about jurors being able to deal with the experience, asks them to put him at ease.

E-22 agrees it's unique, understands O'Mara's concerns. She says jurors will support and correct one another.

O'Mara is describing the experience of a juror, says it's foreign to how people live their daily lives.

RJ!  One of the prospects asked about professional juries.  O'Mara said discussion of that was off limits to him, for now, in court, and that his question for the prospective jurors is whether or not they are up to going through a trial, getting evidence in a slow, methodical way where they don't have much control over how the questioning goes, and being willing and able to adopt the courts instructions and rules.

B-61 says jurors have a responsibility, to hold themselves and each other accountable for following the rules they are instructed in.

A juror mentioned bias. O'Mara for once acts like Bernie, asking the jurors to agree in chorus that they must be unbiased.

E-73 is sure we will see bias in some witnesses. Questions from both sides will aid the jurors in evaluating that.

Another juror said it hadn't occurred to her that she would have to assess witnesses for bias, until O'Mara laid it out for her.

B-86 agrees with me that O'Mara's points are common sense. Some people have more common sense than others. She deals with geniuses who lack common sense.
