Rene Stutzman tweets that Dorival 'has turned into a very useful witness for defense.' Duh. Anybody who read the thread I linked above wouldn't be surprised.

Where is it in evidence that GZ said how TM entered?
2/26 written statement
here? (link appears broken)

The sidebar has gone almost 20 minutes. I wouldn't think it would take so long to settle a hearsay objection to a brief note that isn't central to the case.

Is the prosecution afraid of the jury knowing GZ said something nice about a black woman.

It wasn't the entire note that was objected to, just part or parts of it.  I don't have any recollection of details of a letter from Zimmerman to Lee, but maybe the correspondence exchange is in discovery somewhere.

Edit: The May 17, 2012 document dump, 183 pages, near the end, has a collection of correspondence.

The e-mail in which Dorival thanked GZ for the letter to Lee is 175/184. It's just one line at the bottom of a note about routine business. I haven't found the letter to Lee. It doesn't seem to be with this group.

Nelson sustains the objection.  The e-mail from Lee to Zimmerman (cc: Dorival) will not come into evidence via Dorival.

Guy on redirect asked if Dorival told GZ he should follow, or maybe that it was OK to follow. She dodged the question.

Guy on re-direct.  I think this is going to go over like a lead balloon.  "Do you tell people to call about people walking in the rain?"

What lead you to recommend Zimmerman for patrol? (Does Guy know the answer to this question?)  She answers that she thought he was interested an responsible.

"Did you tell anybody it was okay to follow at a distance?"  No, we tell them to call 911 or NEN.  Did defendant contact you about anything after the meeting?  Yes, the burglary and a suspect being identified.  Did he have a role in organizing block captains?  Yes.  His role is assigning.  Never did provide a list of block captains.

No recross.  Next witness, Donald ???? (state witness, Donald Duck - hey, it is close to Orlando!)

I looked at that again. As I recalled, there's not a word about how TM entered RATL.
