It definitely provides a little grist for the mill as far as the prosecution's ability to try to undermine the accuracy of GZ's statements to the police, but TM could have easily tucked his arms back underneath him as soon as GZ got off him. Whether or not TM was alive directly after the shooting is something that none of the witnesses can do anything more than speculate on so it's a bit of a moot point IMO.

Did Smith ever clarify exactly when he unholstered his own weapon and pointed it at Zimmerman?

Because I thought I saw somewhere that he said he did not have it drawn when he first entered the area behind the houses.  (which seemed strange since there had been a shot(s) fired report sent out to the patrol cars)

I pretty sure I recall him saying that. I does seem somewhat strange to me, also.

Start at 03:00 to hear the whole narrative or at 05:30 just for the weapon issue. Smith unholstered his firearm after Zimmerman admitted he had shot Martin and was still armed.

Thanks.

I shudder to think what might have happened if Smith had drawn his gun quickly enough to make George think he intended to fire.
