Bernie began playing a recording of the reenactment, in a version that begins at the true beginning, outside 1950 RVC.

I forgot to mention 1950 RVC was GZ's residence at the time.

As for absence of defense objection, I think we don't know.

When Bernie made the request to Nelson, at the beginning of the proceedings this morning, O'Mara said he had no objection. That's all I meant. Did you check out the link?

Now playing what looks like the CVSA recording, from an earlier point than I've seen before. Singleton reading Miranda to GZ.

Bernardo is going to play 45 minute recording state exhibit 181, oops, he means 182.  Same instruction read to the jury as before, this recording is redacted.  This is Serino's 29 February interview.

The instruction says the redacted parts aren't relevant.  That's misleading.  They are relevant, but excluded for "reliability" reasons.  Hearsay being designed to exclude unreliable evidence.

The state starts playing the recording at around 3:09 pm.  The jury was given an opportunity to take a break, but indicated it was good to sit through a 45 minute presentation.

State introduces face photo of Martin.  This is what Serino showed to Zimmerman in asking "do you know this person."
Which photo was that?

I did.  And I was listening too.  My point is that O'Mara knew the redactions in advance, which is why he voiced no objection in front of the jury.  If he did not know the redactions, he would have insisted on learning what they were before agreeing to them.  I think that process took place, just outside of our view.

This is Feb 29.  CVSA was done on the 26th, before Zimmerman was first released.

This is Feb 29.

Yeah, I just figured that out. It looks like the same room as the CVSA, but it was GZ being Mirandized on 2/29/12.

The CVSA was on 2/27/12, after the reenactment.

ETA: The Miranda part is something we haven't had audio for until now. From the point where CS recited the case number, date, etc., we've had the audio but not this video.

If it had already been gone over, as cboldt suggested, why would he object now?
to piss Nelson off more?

OK, I misunderstood what Cboldt meant when he brought up the subject.

The jury heard CS say GZ was told to stay in the car, GZ correcting him. DS said that from the NEN call it seemed GZ was out of the car by the time SN said he didn't need to follow. CS seemed convinced.

This will all go to waste for the prosecution unless they have certain portions read from a transcript.

GZ and DS are facing each other from opposite sides of the table, CS sitting at the end of the table to GZ's right with a transcript in his hands. It looks even more confrontational than it sounded.
