DR is blowing a lot of smoke on the timeline problem. In my opinion.

I'm pretty sure he said he didn't know exactly but Guy kept asking him.

He (sort of) contradicted DeMaio.  Said utility flashlight could be used as a weapon.

Anything could be used as a weapon though.

I think Guy has scored some points on DR's review of the evidence not being very thorough.

I think Guy has made an ass of himself--DR clearly said there are things he gave no weight to.

And why does Guy get to bring his girlfriend into court to help him with his little demonstrations.
Or boyfriend. Whichever.

Guy: GZ didn't exercise other options did he?

Dr: No he did, he called for help, tried to elicit help from others, tried to get out of the mounted position (shrimping).  Exercised what options he believed he had at his disposal at the time

Yes, but my point is news.

Sure but I don't believe he's making any points. I believe he's getting handled quite easily. So I don't see why you need to say something just to make "news".

Guy used a mannequin of foam rubber or the like to illustrate TM straddling GZ. At one point DR complained of not being able to see Guy's crotch.

DR: GZ didn't tell him TM touched the gun.

Guy asked about Osterman's statement on TM grabbing the gun. DR said he didn't consider hearsay.

DR (on gz's mma training) if he couldn't even get to the point where he could get into the ring with another person, how long he's been doing for is really a moot point.

From Guy's demo with the dummy, I think the prosecution will suggest that when GZ drew the gun, TM moved back to give up but GZ moved up also to shoot him perpendicularly anyway.

For days I have waiting for someone to comment on not being able to see John Guy's crotch.

I think this is their angle as well.  What's the motive though? GZ felt the fight wasn't enough of a workout and wanted to get an extra crunch in? I don't see how they get around the fact that shooting from his back was the much more likely scenario for many reasons.

I think when O'Mara finished, the witness only had helped the defense marginally but when Guy started .......  I assume the pro prosecution crowd will go nuts attacking Mr. G.

Q: Aren't people in concealed carry classes advised to tell LE if they are armed when they speak to them on phone?

DR: Not on phone.

I've never ever been advised to tell a cop I had a gun when talking to one over the phone. I've never been advised to tell a NEN dispatch operator I had a gun when talking to one over the phone.

John Guy is an absolute moron.
