But I'll bet dollars to donuts that ImHO's James Byrd reference is allowed to stand. So far, you're a winner. Jeralyn has had plenty of time and chances to react. Nothing yet. If she lets that revolting post stand, it will show what her priorities are. I am now making references to Immy's post in places to see if they are deleted. I'm posting this over there. I don't think imho's generic reference to dragging Ms. Marcotte behind a truck needs to necessarily be read in teh context of a crime in Texas, but I'll grant you that it can be. Do you also favor removing all posts that liken the prosecution of the Duke boys to the German holocaust? I haven't seen you employing a similar protest if you do. Who killed all the Germans? LTC are you OK? |

To suggest that criticizing Amanda Marcotte is akin to the racist murder in Texas a few years ago just shows how some people have problems delineating between metaphor and reality. Some people keeping conflating "something happened" into the false charges the defendants face. Same process. Same intellectual handicap.

The only appropriate remedy for unfair criticism of Nifong here is rebuttal. Ad hominem attacks against other participants in this forum, which IMHO is guilty of, is another matter. |

Why? Because the comparison is an insult to holocaust victims, just as the Marcotte comparison is an insult to James Byrd and his family. Both insults are also irrelevant to the LAX case. |

IMHO is a big girl and can take care of herself fine. I am continually amazed at how much personal venom is directed toward her. If she responded in kind to every attack on her by you and others, this board would have been shut down by now. I admire her restraint. THAR SHE BLOWS!!!!! |

Neverthelesss, the comparison is inappropriate, imo.
If you have reported the posts and complained, then I don't see what good I can do.

That either suggests some kind of deficiency in your critical thinking or that you are being disingenuous. If you are unable to recognize when she taunts others, hijacks threads, tries to immaturely redirect attention onto herself at the expense of a discussion, her need to attack others and yet be incapable of answering the simplest question, then, sir, I would suggest that whales have more insight into the dynamics of this discussion board than you. They come up to the surface every once in a while. Or maybe you're just being disingenuous.
