That's absurd. The SPs saw Crystal for themselves. They interviewed her. Her stories changed right in front of them and became more and more fantastic. She showed up under the influence of something. They also had access to her psychiatric files. This is a determination they made themselves.

That doesn't make it any less "offensive."

Sometimes the truth hurts but that should not discourage people from facing it.

Nor does it make PB's rants any more palatable.

What I would like to know is would Cash and his community have acted the same if the race roles were reversed?

That should tell you all you need to know.

You have your answer to that already, TRez.  The black frat party rape of a couple of months ago

Offensive? About the only thing that makes this woman in any way sympathetic are her mental health issues. This appears to be the only reason she evaded criminal charges for her conduct. Take that away and she is about the lowest life form imaginable. Someone who would put her needs ahead of three innocent lives.

I am trying to cut her some slack but it's difficult. Lot's of people have mental health problems and tough lives and they don't falsely accuse someone of a terrible crime. I really hope there is something serious in her medical file and that the assessment of the lawyers and investigators who interviewed her is correct - that she may believe the many stories she has told. Because if not, she is one of the most cold-blooded and selfish people I've ever heard of.

And I’m certainly at peace now.

You completely missed the point.  There is a very real and tragic story unfolding about how a rogue DA and a group of enablers, including members of the DPD, attempted to railroad three innocent players.  THAT is the story.  And it is probably not an isolated incident.  Why wouldn't you think there are Blacks in prison right now because of similar prosecutorial abuse?

And who do you think anyone would give a sh*t about your forthcoming book about "why Blacks asked the questions they asked"?    That is absolutely, positively NOT of any interest to anybody except the nit-wit enablers.  That's the problem with you Cash.  Your racial bias keeps blinding you to what is really important in the context of your community.   You could have owned this story had you not lost your objectivity.  Writing articles about fifth hand gossip, a "drunken and perverted party",  and petty theft during a time that an obviously out-of-control DA was trampling the civil rights of three young men, only made you look like a foolish, wet-behind-the-ears amateur.  Too bad.  You could have been the face of uncovering this conspiracy.  You had or could have gained access to the right people, including the defense attorneys to get to the real truth.  Anyway, it's too late now.  You'll probably never get another chance to be a real journalist and not just a shill for what you call "the Black perspective".

So, I'm glad you're content to be writing articles for a hometown Black newspaper.  I don't see much else in your future.  Too bad.  You could have been so much more.

The answer:
Because they have be trained form birth to believe that their is some evil force that has conspired to make them  lifelong victims based soley on their skin pigmentation. This self serving paranoia is nutured by "Black" media like cash.

Cash I hope you have a lot of pictures for filler. Maybe a coloring book?

Willing to accept many of the points C makes, with a few exceptions, most notably:

Quote from: c
"We had to have the players who were at that party finally tell their story so that a complete and comprehensive view of all that went on that night was finally arrived at.

That has now happened."

In fact, it had alreday happened last year. The problem was, Nifong didn't want to hear what the players had to say if it didn't fit his theory and objectives. This is not a new development.

There were many witnesses at that party that were never interviewed until the AG got the case. I think the investigation will be seen as at least much more complete than Nifong's.

CashI told them months ago about the problems with the evidence and the accuser’s credibility issues, so last week wasn’t such a great shock.

Months ago, you were still misleading your readers.  After the rape charges were dropped you penned this ditty: "The 'male sex organ' distinction is key because a broomstick was alleged to have been originally involved, but never found." .  Is this how you lessen the shock of the accuser's lack of credibility?  By inferring that Precious was sodomized with a broomstick?

Cash - Secondly, since I was there with both a tape recorder and a video going, Chan Hall is nowhere found on either recording saying anything publicly at that forum, and I taped the whole thing.

Go back and view the tape. Kristen Hunter references her (unrelated) remarks with a " ...as Chan said".  Will you still deny that Chan said anything publicly at the forum?

Cash -

When you were busy holding feet to the fire, did you notice that all of those feet were white?  Your "community" should accept some responsibility for its actions.

I'm no racist, and I'm certainly no conservative, but I am long past tired of your act.

haaaaaahahahahaha!

That was funny.

He also fancies himself a "revisionist" now.  Have you noticed?  He thinks we are too stupid to remember his smears, as well as forgetting that his words are still available on the net and continue to betray the "new, looking for healing" Cash.

Why do you think they weren't interviewed by Nifong but were interviewed by the AG's office? Because Nifong wasn't interested in anything they had to say and the AG's office was.

Nifong took the position early on that a rape had occured. If a player didn't support that version then they weren't being truthful. He dismissed everything Zash, Evans and Flannery told DPD. The problem when you do that is that you close yourself off to other possibilities. As it turned out no rape or attack ever happened so no one could tell Nifong what he wanted to hear. Therefore any interviews with players would have been useless exercises.

No 84 it is all Nifong's fault. They had to hold the NCCU forum because of Nifong. They had to post incorrect information on the NC NAACP website because of Nifong. Everyone involved with this travesty can blame Nifong now. How convenient.
