What is the current situation with Levicy?

That is what we believe a SANE program ought to provide, and that is what I believe Kethra believes.

However, this is what the SANE Guide says:

“Use of evidence collected. There are four primary
uses of the evidence collected by the SANE:
1. To confirm recent sexual contact.
2. To show that force or coercion was used.
3. To identify the assailant.
4. To corroborate the victim’s story.”

I believe that the purpose of the SANE program that trained Levicy is to provide the courts with medical findings which will corroborate the accuser’s story.

The relevant National Policy Statements, and SANE training-guidelines do not merely de-emphasize consideration of false accusation they seem to me to actively discourage such consideration.

Levicy’s training seems to have been along those guide-lines.

The inbuilt training-bias seems to have been so strong that its products, such as Levicy, should more accurately be described as Sexual Assault Corroboration Examiners (SACEs).

I believe that Levicy is probably a very apt product of the system that trained her; I suspect that she was one of Arico’s star-pupils.

Sydney - It reads "use of evidence collected".  The evidence box - Rape KIt Box is sealed and sent off to the  State Bureau of Investigation.  Its taken by the cops to the SBI and SBI does the testing on the clothes and swabs themselves that was collected. The collection can be done by an MD or  a nurse who usually takes an  84 hour certification class given frequently at the YWCA but in this case, perhaps at DUMC.
Whats to interpret?
The Guide lines rule and all that anyone wants is for the swabs and clothes collected, sealed in a Rape Kit Box and sent to SBI. What is so difficult about that?  The job is the job and however much blown up in importance is still the same job.
